Growing Houseplants Indoors
To grow healthy container plants, you need to do a little research about your plants... For example, how much sun will they need? How much water do they like? How tall will they grow? This is particularly important because all plants are not created equal; for example, your sun loving/drought tolerant cactus, and your moisture loving /shade tolerant african violet will not respond well to the same care and conditions..
In container gardening, you also need to ensure that plants have effective drainage and good soil which provides them with nutrients and aeration. Place small rocks at the bottom of your containers so water will drain, dampen potting soil before placing it in the pot,etc... there are many tricks and tips and opinions; being informed will give your plants a much greater chance of success...
